Well how about those Tampa Bay Bucs shutting down the Saint Louis Rams 24 - 3?

Enough with reality, let's get to fantasy and check around the league after most of the early games are final or approaching final.

Starting over with all teams and taking a quick stat snapshot of one player on each team:

Pretenders: Key Player so far --- Neil Rackers (3FG, 2 Pat) 14 points


The Redshirts: Brian "Questionable" Westbrook with 28 Fantasy Points (110 Rush Yards, 2 Rush TDs, 111 Rec Yards.) A lean mean fantasy machine. Someone is going to have to reach DEEP inside to beat out Westbrook for the Fantasy Player Of The Week Award. Holy super stats, batman.

The New Effect: Addai and Kitna both top this bunch at 20 Fantasy Points each. Addai's line: 72 RuYds, 2 RuTD's, 19 RecYds in the win, Kitna's Line: 446 PaYds, 2 PaTd's, 1 Int in the loss. How about the Eagles getting a college football type score?

Cadillac Williams was replaced in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game by a combination of Earnest Graham and Michael Pittman. Williams had 12 carries for 46 yards and a TD, and a three-yard catch, before leaving.

Williams fell on his previously injured ribs in the third quarter. He looked fine on the sideline, but coach Jon Gruden let Graham and Pittman finish the Rams off, possibly as a precaution. Williams had a big third quarter drive, which left his owners with a productive fantasy day nonetheless. Sep. 23 - 3:37 pm et

Motormouth's musings: I actually remember talking to a fellow ff fanatic at work and mentioned to him that Westbrook has a knee injury again --- my fellow ff fanatic's response: "Shocking!" He also recommended that I try out Westy on the trade block if I have any weak areas on my team with Westy. On the upside, great week for Mister Westbrook.

Calvin Johnson went up in traffic and hauled in an amazing 38-yard catch downfield, but came crashing down right on his back. He stayed down for several minutes, but left the field under his own power. Johnson was grimacing while being carted to the locker room and his return is said to be questionable. Motormouth's Musings: GREAT! Just when CJ looks like he might give ANOTHER CJ a run for his money --- this has to happen. Worse scenario devlops...grab S. MacDonald and/or Mike Furrey if they are available in your league. If CJ's injury shelves him long enough the value of these other two Detriot WR's will go UP! Kitna puts up good FP's even in a blowout loss to Philly.
